Rebuilding Your Life After a Toxic Relationship
Rediscover yourself, rebuild your confidence, and create a new beginning.
When a toxic or emotionally abusive relationship ends, it can mark the beginning of a new chapter. But moving forward isn’t always easy. Rebuilding trust in yourself, rediscovering who you are, and finding the confidence to create a fulfilling life and healthier relationships can take time.
My trauma-informed coaching combines my two areas of focus—Relationships & Connection and Life Transitions & New Beginnings—to support you as you explore those questions and take meaningful steps forward. I offer a supportive, nonjudgmental space where we can explore your experiences, understand what matters to you, and work toward meaningful change at your own pace.

Toxic and abusive relationships can take many forms, including emotional manipulation, controlling behavior, narcissistic behavior, and emotional or physical abuse.
Whether you've already left a toxic or emotionally abusive relationship, are in the process of separating, or are still trying to decide what comes next, coaching can offer a supportive space to explore your needs, gain clarity, and make decisions with greater confidence. Even after a relationship ends, its effects may linger, and there's no single timeline or right way to move forward.
This coaching may be right for you if…
- You're in a toxic, controlling, or emotionally abusive relationship and are questioning whether to stay, considering separation, or trying to decide what comes next.
- You've left a toxic, controlling, or emotionally abusive relationship and want to rebuild your life.
- You're navigating a high-conflict divorce or separation and are looking for clarity, confidence, and a way forward.
- You feel you've lost touch with who you are or what matters to you.
- You struggle with self-doubt, guilt, or trusting your own judgment.
- You want to make decisions based on your own needs and values as you move forward.
- You are ready to explore what a fulfilling next chapter could look like, including future relationships if and when you choose.
What we can work on
Our work is tailored to your situation, needs, and pace. Here are a few of the things we can work on together:
- Gaining clarity on difficult decisions: exploring your options, understanding your needs and priorities, and finding the confidence to decide what feels right for you.
- Navigating change: finding your way through separation, divorce, or the end of a relationship.
- Rebuilding self-trust: reconnecting with your judgment, strengths, and ability to make decisions.
- Rediscovering yourself: exploring your identity, needs, values, and aspirations beyond the relationship.
- Building independence: making choices that reflect your needs, priorities, and values in everyday life.
- Establishing healthy boundaries: recognizing your limits, communicating your needs, and learning to prioritize your well-being.
- Creating your next chapter: exploring possibilities, meaningful goals, supportive connections, and the kind of life you want to build.
Coaching is not psychotherapy, trauma treatment, domestic abuse crisis intervention, or safety planning. If you are currently unsafe, facing threats or coercive control, or need support with trauma symptoms, specialist domestic abuse services or a qualified mental health professional may be more appropriate, alongside or before coaching.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does the relationship need to have ended recently?
No. Whether the relationship ended recently or years ago, what matters is what you want to work toward now.
What if I'm still in a toxic relationship?
You don't need to have left the relationship or decided what to do next to seek support. Coaching can help you better understand your needs, explore your options, establish boundaries, and gain clarity about what feels right for you. If you're experiencing ongoing abuse or feel unsafe, specialist support may also be important.
Do you only work with people recovering from toxic relationships?
No. I also support people navigating life transitions and new beginnings, relationship challenges, and personal growth. You can explore my other coaching areas, Life Transitions & New Beginnings and Relationships & Connection, to learn more.
